Italian Roddi Prize goes to Iranian poet Abdolmalekian

Tehran, IRNA – Iranian poet Garous Abdolmalekian has been awarded at Roddi Prize held in Turin, Italian media outlets reported.

The Iranian poet has received a prize at the section titled "Witness of Beauty 2023" at the event, the Italian media reported cited by the IRNA on Tuesday.

Today, Abdolmalekian, with his minimalist style and his sharp and sparse language, is a much appreciated author in Iran, said the sourse.

His poems have been translated and published in French, German, English, Arabic, Kurdish, and Turkish.

He has obtained various national and international awards, the latest of which is the nomination for the Pen Prize for the anthology of poems translated into English Lean on at this late hour (2020).
